I would love to get the limited palette mixing book! This is just a visual feast for the eyes, and a visual learning tool about color!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy. My plan is to publish the next book as a lower cost version, perhaps through Amazon for free shipping, and also as an eBook. I'll update it here when it is ready. It will have all 14 colours mixed with each other, then each mixed purple with each yellow, each mixed orange with each blue and so on. And a couple of colour wheels! Should be fairly comprehensive but only 25 pages or so so it can be very portable.

That's great Helen. Not every colour mix is useful and this book has so many of them that you can see at a glance which may be good for you. Please note - I used Aureolin for some of the mid yellow mixes but have since found out is if not a recommended colour. Use Hansa Yellow Medium DS, Winsor Yellow, Azo Yellow or even cadmium yellow if you like opaque yellows, instead.

DeleteI downloaded the e-book sample from iBooks but I cannot get it to display one page at a time no matter what I do. I really do not want two pages displayed side by side and resizing doesn't really help since I'd have to do that every time I slide to the next page. It would be more helpful to be able to flip through one page at a time. Is this just a problem with the sample or is the e-book created this way? I may have to go with a hard copy rather than the e-book.
