I received a set of 60 of the Arrtx Acrylic Markers and decided to draw them out on a chart as usual. This is on Stillman & Born Alpha paper and the big A4 hardcover version. I worked on the front of both pages as this marker does just go through Alpha paper.
My favourite water-proof marker (the Pilot Twin Marker) ran out after the first row so I continued with another that wasn't as waterproof as I expected. Whoops. So there is just a little bit of ink picked up in rows two and three.
I haven't found any pigment information on these markers but they to seem to mostly contain a mixture of colours and often white. However they draw out really easily, responding right from the first use. Many makers need to be primed before use but these are just supposed to be shaken and away you go.
At the bottom of each swatch I've added another stripe of colour to show how opaque two layer of colour will be. These are great for colouring in shapes. They are also interesting to use with a bit of water - while still wet - to blend together. Otherwise they will tend to overlap each other of course.
